Cultivating Joy

Tressa Wayman, married to Jared for just over 30 years, was born in the American South and met her South Islander husband during a study abroad year at Canterbury. Three grown children and several lifetimes later, they are now one of about a dozen families that live in their individual homesteads either at Mohaka River Farm or nearby. Jared, with a background in forestry, enjoys strong coffee, promoting businesses, working with his hands at whatever needs to be done, copious cream for his very strong coffee, and serving as a minister in our local church. Tressa enjoys obedient dogs, cooperative chickens, spring gardening, a recycled plunge from Jared’s very strong coffee, cooking, soap and lotion making, and writing, especially writing alongside children.
