Guided Fly Fishingon the Mohaka
Whether you are a fly fishing pro, a complete beginner, or somewhere in between on your fly fishing journey, you will have an unforgettable experience fishing the Mohaka, Tukituki or Rangitaiki with our experienced fly fishing guides.
We offer a range of fly fishing packages including the ones below. We can also create a bespoke package just for you.
All packages include airport transfers from Napier Airport, accommodation in a rustic cabin at Mohaka River Farm, all your meals and healthy snacks. All your fishing equipment including rods, reels, leader and custom flies. Helicopter flights. A Raft Guide, a Fly Fishing Guide and concession fees. You shouldn't need to purchase anything else, but if you're unsure simply ask and we'll let you know.
Please note our guided fly fishing experiences have an age restriction of 10 years and over.

Guided Raft Fishing - Full Day

A full day of action accessing the most hard-to-reach, untouched pools on the famous Mohaka River. From 09h-17h, beginning with a scenic drive to the Upper Mohaka your remote back country water adventure begins. Your experienced guide will teach you to fish while drifting, and stopping at the best spots for abundant brown and rainbow trout.

Accommodation
Self-contained cabins for 1-2 people are available for fly fishing guests. You are most welcome to take your time on our property, relax and devote the time you want to explore the famous fishing waters.
You can fish as much as you like, enjoy any of the other activities available - like guided hunting - or simply take the time to relax somewhere peaceful and quiet, surrounded by gorgeous scenery, friends and our friendly farm animals.
Expect your cabin to be well stocked with plenty of fresh plunger coffee, tea, Tammy's home-baked bread, Mohaka granola with Mohaka honey, fresh eggs, snacks, seasonal fruit and all you need for a hearty breakfast. Be sure to opt for the full catered option though - there are no shops around but guess what; we love to show our love and respect through great food. You will not go wanting for delicious food here. Spring water comes straight from the tap in your cabins.
