Plan your trip - Day 1
If you're wondering what your trip might entail, here are a few ideas based on how a visiting couple recently chose to enjoy their time here:
Arrive mid-morning and settle into your cabin, refresh and enjoy some lunch together. While your lovely wife sets off for an afternoon horse trek, you sit down with Noah - your fishing guide - and discuss the type of fishing experience you want to have. Well fed, you set off on a short drive for a beautiful afternoon of fly fishing. Return around 19h (it is light until 21h here) and we'll cook 1 of the trout you caught and make sure you both have plenty to eat. Enjoy a hot shower, a rooibos tea, relax together under the dark starlit sky then head off to bed in your own time.

Plan your trip - Day 2
Wake in your own time, make some plunger coffee or tea, enjoy breakfast together on the balcony of your cabin enjoying the birdsong and watching the farm animals. Today your lovely wife has decided to take a pottery class in the morning, leaving you to set off fishing around 10h for a slightly longer day on a different part of the river. Going further upstream today, you will be rafting down for a completely different experience, covering 10-20 kilometres of sublime fishing waters and scenery. Return home, enthralled and exhausted, let us prepare dinner for you as you both reflect on your incredible day.

Plan your trip - Day 3
Keen for some excellent hassle-free hunting (and venison to take home for the freezer) you head out for an early morning hunt with Kelvin, our legendary hunting guide. Just a 15 minute drive from your cabin, Kelvin will take you to one of his favorite spots on private land to hunt the elusive Sika deer. This is fast, exciting hunting set amongst trees and native bush. Enjoy Kelvin's company - he's a very cool guy with over 20 years serving in the New Zealand police, which included senior security details for our Prime Minister among other things. Kelvin's also our resident knife maker - so after returning to your cabin and enjoying a hearty lunch with your wife (who spent the morning relaxing with a good book), you decide to join one of Kelvin's knife making classes. Given all the fresh venison you have just harvested, you choose to make a hunting knife of your own that afternoon. This is the first of two 4-hour sessions. On completing the first session you both enjoy a delicious serving of your fresh venison, barbecued for you by our team.

Plan your trip - Day 4
After a big sleep and delicious breakfast with fresh coffee, you join Kelvin to finish making your hunting knife. Kelvin has kept the high-carbon European steel that your knife is made of heated overnight, so it's ready for the finishing touches. At the end of your second 4-hour session you know how to make your own knives, and have a beautiful custom made hunting knife of your own. Lunch. Then set off for another incredible afternoon of fly fishing. This time your wife joins you to try a little fly fishing of her own. You venture a little further today - to the Tuki Tuki - which Noah knows well. After another successful afternoon spent together on the river you both return to your cabin, enjoy a delicious meal and feel well blessed to be here.
We can't wait to see you here.
