A beautiful, down-to-earth location for weddings, events and tailored accommodation. Off the main road between Napier and Taupo.
A versatile, open venue
Lots of seating both indoors and outdoors, a feature handmade timber pergola built with locally grown timber, a wood fired oven, an indoor dancefloor, a commercial kitchen, plenty of car parking - there's even a ping pong table. We're able to accommodate most weddings and events so if you're wondering whether we can handle your's, feel free to ask. The venue is best suited to weddings and receptions of up to 70 people, and can be hired just for the day, a weekend or even longer.

Terrific views, calm environment
The venue faces the Mohaka River, which is about a 500m walk away. Mountains and forest provide the backdrop in all directions. It's intimate, but really spacious in an open environment as well.
Drop in, have a look
Wedding venue hire here on the farm starts at NZD $5k. The best way to see if Mohaka River Farm is where you want to get married is by dropping in for a visit. Pop in and spend some proper time walking around, checking out the facilities, getting a feel for the place. Ask us all and any questions you might have. Tammy, Pete, Ash, Rachel and co are here and one or more of them will love to spend some time with you, getting to know you and understanding your vision. If you are local, pop in and have lunch or a coffee with us. Or if you're coming from farther afield, you might even like to stay a night or two in one of our chalets.

A great venue for family reunions. Fun activities for hen and stag dos
Weddings are a great time to bring people together. It may be a good time to hold a family reunion before or after a wedding. It may also be a neat time to get together with your friends for a hen or stag event pre-wedding. For these and other such occasions be sure to speak with us about what you have in mind. As well as having the facilities and accommodation for such events, we have a range of activities available onsite or on nearby surrounds for some really fun times with your friends. For the girls: take a sgraffito pottery class here onsite or one of the various other crafts we do here. For the boys: try rafting, knife making or even some fishing or hunting. If you have something else in mind you feel we might be able to offer, just ask.
Accommodation, Catering, Flowers and a Songbird
Within a few hundred metres of the venue are numerous cabins and chalets for guests to stay in. Also, we can make available plenty of great camping spaces for your guests - we can even provide and pitch all the tents. We're currently renovating our chalets so depending when you book, you might get some newly renovated ones.
Inside the commercial kitchen caterers of your choosing may prepare your meals or if you like, we can connect you with some of the best wedding catering companies in Hawke's Bay. As well as a commercial kitchen we have plenty of other facilities onsite for delicious wedding food preparation including a wood fired pizza oven and barbecues aplenty.
A terrific flower arranger is here onsite who can arrange all the flowers if you like, or you are welcome to supply your own flowers.
And Taliah our resident songbird may even be available to sing a special song or two for the bride.
